08.00 AM picking up from your city hotel/residence and proceed to south along the Tanzania/Zambia highway, arriving in time at the campsite to check-in, enjoy lunch and relax. Afternoon begins with game drives in the park. The landscape of Mikumi is often compared to that of the Serengeti; animals in the park are elephants, zebras, impala, eland, kudu, black antelope, baboons, wildebeests, and buffalos. Chances of seeing a lion that climbs a tree trunk is larger than in Manyara, late afternoon return at the base for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast you drive to Udzungwa. On arrival at the park gate, transfer to the start of the Sanje Trail. Hike into the pristine Eastern Arc Forest looking for endemic primates including the Sanje Crested Mangeby and Iringa Red Colobus. On reaching at the top the top of the 180m Sanje Waterfall you will have the opportunity to relax at idyllic plunge pools and see endemics African violets growing in the spray zones. Later enjoy a lunch overlooking the Kilombero Valley; descend in the afternoon looking for primates. The undisturbed forest areas offer good hiking opportunities and bird watching. Late afternoons return at Mikumi base, enjoy dinner and overnight stay.
